The Corniche in Bahrain. Palm trees lining the waterfront, light catching the Gulf at sunset, the promenade stretching along the coast. It’s a memory I want to recreate in Unreal Engine as a returning project, something I refine as I grow.
To capture the organic complexity (the palm distribution, pavement patterns, seawall variations) I need procedural generation. Manual placement won’t cut it. Learning PCG in Houdini means building systems that scale, iterate fast, and mirror real production workflows.
Foundation: Block out the Corniche in Unreal. Get the scale and proportions right.
Procedural Systems: Learn Houdini to create:
Integration: Bring Houdini assets into Unreal as HDAs.
Atmosphere: Lighting, water, sound. Give it soul.
The Commitment
This is long-term. Each phase teaches something new. The Corniche becomes my benchmark. Proof that I can transform nostalgia into technical skill and creative vision.
Time to begin. (Here’s a few images).
